It was a fast read and I enjoyed it, but having read/watched the more adult version aka Battle Royale, I find it lacking in the motivation of the lead characters.Reality TV has always been a part of asian culture be it game shows or Masterchef so I felt this meshing of a reality program with shades of The Running Man didn't do much for me at all.
All the killing seems to be done by others (was that deliberate) and it was a cop out changing the rules 3/4 into the book.
Overall a good read but not memorable and certainly not insightful.
