The Care and Handling of Roses with Thorns

The Care and Handling of Roses with Thorns - Margaret Dilloway It is a heart warming tale but can come across as a little twee, especially when the chapters are divided with 'advices' on rose growing, a device which the author has used before in her previous book. It would feel less Readers Digesty(sic) and because there is the sub-plot of the niece, it can come across as a YA book as well. Nontheless it is a pleasant read with pockets of insights and not sentimental.
